Corylus Avellana populated itself across Europe over 20,000 years ago. It seeks fertile and robust soil for its rapid growth and alkalinizes an acidic terrain as it grows. To the Druids, Corylus Avellana had magical properties and became the symbol for the knowledge of hidden secrets and its wood was used in carvings of phallic symbols. There are three primary functions for the hazel bud.
It is an anti-sclerotic remedy used primarily for pulmonary fibrosis to restore the elasticity lost in chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases.
It has a tonic action on the liver parenchyma and is used to treat hepatic inefficiencies due to hepatic sclerosis.
Lastly, the Corylus Avellana bud has anti-anemic properties to restore erythropoietin and balances hypochromic and microcytic anemias.INDICATION
