Carpinus Betulus is an occidental tree that has become an ornamental decoration throughout French gardens.

It is a social tree in nature and has great adaptability characteristics evidenced by the various environments in which it can grow.

It is for these reasons that Carpinus Betulus has become the symbol for vital energy, vigor and adaptability.

The primary therapeutic actions of the Hornbeam involve raising platelet counts in thrombocytopenia with an increase in agglutination factors in the prevention of haemorrhages.

These traits work best when combined with Cornus Sanguinaria.

The secondary action is on the liver in which Carpinus Betulus lowers elevated cholesterol levels and normalizes transaminases.

Lastly, this is an excellent remedy in the upper respiratory sphere in terms of stimulating the adrenals in infectious and allergic conditions especially when combined with Ribes Nigrum.
